The especially fine mesh size safely keeps mosquito species such as Culex, Anopheles (malaria), Aedes (dengue fever, yellow fever, chicungunya) as well as sand flies of the Phlebotomidae family (leishmaniasis) and gnats (filariasis) away from the body.
