SYMBOLS FOR TYPES OF INSTALLATION

When choosing a mosquito net, attention must be paid to its shape as this determines whether the net will fall close to arms, feet, etc., thus enabling bites through the netting, and whether it is fast and easy to install or requires a little time and effort.

Single-point suspensions: Bell nets are easy to install as they are simply suspended from a hook over the middle of the bed. Care must be taken to ensure that the net does not fall close to arms, feet etc.
Multi-point suspension: Box nets require at least four suspension points above the bed but provide a great deal of internal space. Contact with any part of the body is unlikely.
Special shapes: this symbol refers to free-standing mosquito nets, mosquito nets with sewn-in floors, nets intended for use with hammocks, and portable net erection systems.

SYMBOLS FOR NETTING TYPES - DEGREE OF PROTECTION

Netting pattern: Shows the structure and mesh of the net true to scale. Each article gives the spacing of the meshes in mesh per square inch; i.e. the larger the number the closer the meshes and the better the protection.
Large mosquito: Nets with this symbol keep away troublesome and/or disease-bearing mosquitoes, such as Anopheles, Aedes and Culex mosquitoes, thus providing protection from malaria and yellow fever.
Small mosquito: Nets with this symbol keep away No-See-Ums, such as Phlebotomidae sand flies and midges, and provide protection from leishmaniosis and lymphatic filariasis.
Brettschneider nets: Nets with this symbol are ones that we commission in Germany or from an exclusive partner in the Far East, and include features based on our longstanding experience.
Nets with impregnation: Coming with LLI long lasting deltamethrine impregnation, nets with this symbol form a physical and chemical mosquito-repellent barrier.
