Do you need mosquito nets for yourself or your project? |
Then ask us about our stocks for non-profit-making institutions and benefit from special terms, residual stock items at budget prices, nets with slight imperfections or donations in kind (against confirmation of donation). |

ANAMED |
|
Most of the world´s population lives in circumstances that make the purchase of mosquito nets and medication either difficult or impossible. At the same time, knowledge of traditional medicine is fast disappearing. However, efforts are being made to preserve knowledge of medicinal plants to the benefit of the indigenous peoples - a task that the Action for Natural Medicine in the Tropics (ANAMED) has taken on. The association organises seminars in the poorest areas of the world and publishes and distributes information on how to make medicinal products in many national and regional languages. |
 |
ANAMED was founded by the German pharmacist Hans-Martin Hirt and gratefully accepts all donations. If you wish to support its work, please make a money transfer to ANAMED International e. V., IBAN a/co no.: DE12 6025 0010 0007 2190 69, Kreissparkasse Waiblingen bank, Swift/BIC Code: SOLADES1WBN. For further details, see www.anamed.net |

BRETTSCHNEIDER FERNREISEBEDARF wholeheartedly supports ANAMED´s research into Artemisia Annua anamed, a tall and leafy medicinal plant with a high content of active ingredients that prevent malaria in semi-resistant people. |

TANJA & DENIS KATZER |
|
|
"We need greater awareness in the way we encounter life, and we ought to treat everything with greater attentiveness and care. Life is a tremendous gift. We are all ONE - everything is interconnected". Denis Katzer & Tanja Katzer |
 |
OUR ENCOURAGEMENT |
BRETTSCHNEIDER FERNREISEBEDARF supports Tanja and Denis Katzer in their goal of building bridges between cultures and religions and awaking understanding for Mother Earth as the basis of life on this globe. The two extremely likeable globetrotters have been pursuing their life´s project - "The Great Journey" - since 1991, touring the world as adventures, filmmakers, photographers and authors. So far they have covered 266.000 kilometres, and over the next five years they will be travelling a further 25.000 from Germany to Burma (Myanmar) by bike, horse and elephant on their Trans-East Expedition. |
THE ENGAGEMENT |
Their intention in making this expedition is to plant a tree for every kilometre they cover as a contribution to the "Green Artery", a tree-planting project run by the Bergwaldprojekt association for mountain forest preservation. In other words, their journey from Bavaria to Burma will result in the planting of 25.000 trees (www.bergwaldprojekt.de). The Katzers do not benefit financially from their support of the tree-planting project; rather, they pass on every donation they receive - and five Euro is enough to buy a tree and have it planted - to the Bergwaldprojekt association, whose volunteers plant trees wherever they are needed in mountainous areas. To keep abreast with Tanja and Denis´ progress on the Trans-East Expedition, see their online diary at www.denis-katzer.com. |
